Who we are, how we work and why this workshop is set up the way it is.
A workshop first, a shop second
Everything sold here is designed in the workshop and made either at our own benches or by a small number of makers we know by name. Batches are small because that is how the quality stays checkable: every piece is handled by a person who is allowed to reject it.
The shop exists so the work can keep happening. Prices are set from what a piece costs to make properly, seconds are sold clearly marked at a fair discount, and anything that fails in normal use inside a year is repaired or replaced.

WHAT WE HOLD TO
How we work
Small batches, checked twice
Every piece passes through hands that can reject it, before firing and before packing.
Seconds sold as seconds
Minor flaws are photographed, described and discounted, never slipped into full-price orders.
Repair before replace
A chipped board gets re-oiled and a loose weave gets mended, for the life of the piece.
Packaging that composts
Paper, card and starch. Nothing in the box outlives the journey.
How we got here
Designed
Drawn and prototyped in the workshop until the piece earns a place in the range.
Made
Thrown, woven or cut in small batches, by us or by makers we name.
Checked
Inspected twice, priced honestly, and photographed as it actually looks.
Shipped
Packed in compostable materials and sent tracked, with the care guide in the box.
